Anatomy of Seasons

Categories: Uncategorized

TEXT: ECCL 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

THINGS WE MUST KNOW ABOUT SEASONS

  • Seasons guarantees changes
  • Season gives hope
  • Nothing remains the same seasons are always temporary (Joseph in Egypt -7years of plenty &7 years of lack)
  • The key to life is out lasting the season, not the reverse.
  • Seasons gives the incentive to plan for the future.
  • Seasons are always moving
  • Every season has struggles with it (you cannot see from outside) . Hence don’t envy someone in any season in their life. I hope this set you free from envy.

THERE’S AN ACTIVATION FOR EVERY SEASON

  • Abraham has to move from Haran to Ur of Chealdean Gen 11:27-32 ; Gen 12:1-7;
  • Jacob has to leave Padanaram to Bethel ; Gen 35:1-15; Gen 32: 22-25;  visitation at the middle of no where blessing – Gen 28:11-19- called that place Bethel instead of Luz (you can rename situation you are in to reap a promise) 21 years (Gen 35) later Jacob went back to Bethel where God meet him in the middle of no where.
  • Bethel  is a place of REMEMBRANCE – Bible always says remember-your God, His testimonies, think of the goodness of Jesus – that place where God meet you at your zero hour and turned it to hero hour. Surely the Lord is in this place!
  • Bethel is a place of REVELATION (Gen 35vs3) ,God with us Emmanuel. God shows up in the middle of NOWHERE it becomes He is NOW HERE!!!!
  • Bethel is also a place of RESPONSE.Remember it is OUR RESPONSE to God’s Ability that forms responsibility.

  1. Every Season have a preparatory time and a reaping time (While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.) Gen 8:22

  1. Every season is shaped by what you see and say (your season takes the characteristics of your description of it). You can control your season by what you say. (Let the prophet declare what they see-Isaiah 21:6.  Jeremiah 1:12″Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

Genesis 15:5-6 5And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.  Genesis 15:5-6

Ezekiel 37:7  “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone”

  1. Every season has strength you can seize-there’s grace, favor, in every season

Fear thou not; for I am with thee:

be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;

yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10

But they that wait upon the Lord

shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run, and not be weary;

and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

He giveth power to the faint;

and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:29

But I will sing of thy power;

yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:

for thou hast been my defence

and refuge in the day of my trouble.

Psalm 59:16

  1. We must have the patience to trust God’s timing.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5

  1. It is our perspective on the season that either makes it enjoyable or miserable.

Genesis 50:20″ 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. Job 13:15

Job 19:25-29

25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Habakkuk 3:18

Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Phil 1:6

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Rom 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

  1. It is our perspective on the season that either makes it enjoyable or miserable.

Isaiah 43:19: See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

  1. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavensEccl 3:1

God is a God of ORDER! He does everything by appointment.

Hab 2:3-3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Read ECCL 3: 11 and EPHISIANS 1:9-10 (God’s purpose is to bring all things under Christ in Heaven and Earth).

READ Daniel 2:20- He changes Time and Seasons, God schedules every season, but Life is experience in seasons!!!

From eternity God has a purpose at work but we always want to skip to the next season-

“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9).

  • God SPEAKS in Season to our life

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”  (Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJ)   “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season..”  (Psalm 145:15 NKJV)  “…a word spoken in due season, how good is it!  (Proverbs 15:23 KJ)  “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”   (Galatians 6:9 KJ)

Out Living Every Season

This comes when you acquaint yourself with God and decide intentionally to pass through every season with joy and peace.

Scriptures worth meditating are as follows:

Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Jeremiah 30:19

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 New International Version (NIV)

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-8 King James Version (KJV)

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Word of Caution:

  • Don’t respond permanently to a temporary season
  • Kingdom people are steady mot movable
    The trying of your faith worketh patience
  • James 1:3”“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
  • Crisis has always been a source of development and growth.
